Spring Recital Time!

Dress Rehearsal
Dress Rehearsal will be held on Wednesday, May 13th from 4:30 to 7:30 at the Box Elder Middle School, 18 South 500 East in Brigham City. Each class has a rehearsal time and then all classes are required to meet back at the auditorium at 6:50 pm for the show rehearsal. You should get a note this week with your dancers class time. Please arrive AT LEAST 10 minutes before your class rehearsal, in costume, with hair and make-up already done. Again, dress rehearsal is MANDATORY! Parents are welcome to stay for rehearsal.

Recital
The recital will be held on Thursday, May 14th at 6:00 pm at the Box Elder Middle School. All dancers must arrive NO LATER that 5:30, in costume, with hair and make-up already done. We are making every effort to be extremely organized and we need your help by being on time! Each class will have a student helper to assist them backstage. We will show you this backstage room on rehearsal night. All students will be in this room while they await their performance and you can pick them up after the show is over. Because all students are in the finale show, they will not be allowed to sit with family during the recital. It is a fairly shot recital and we will have activities to keep the girls busy backstage so it shouldn't be to hard for them to endure. :) The cost is $4.00 per person at the door and or $3.00 if you buy in advance. You can buy these tickets from Jen at anytime before the recital. Children 2 years and under are free. We apologize in advance for having to charge for the recital. Its just to cover overhead expenses.

Costumes

Each girl should have a paper describing each item she should bring to both the rehearsal and recital. This paper will also describe how her hair should be done. Please check and double check this paper before you come to recital and the rehearsal to make sure you have everything needed. Here are a few rules regarding costumes:
1. Do not let your dancer eat or drink in costume (water only.)
2. Put your dancers name on all parts of her costume.
3. Be careful of lipstick and other make-up getting on the costume
3. Do not wear any jewelry, watches, or press on tattoos. No underwear with costumes.

Make-up
Each dancer should wear make-up to help her cute little face show up better on stage. Wear eyeshadow from the plum, lavender, and brown family. Avoid blue or green. Lipstick should be a bright color from the red family; no pinks, oranges, browns, blacks, purples, etc. These colors turn in the light. Blush should be a bit darker than street wear. All girls should wear black mascara-if those tiny eyes just cant cooperate, its okay to skip it though : )

Accounts

Our bookkeeper (and Jens wonderful sister), Alisha Crowson will be at rehearsal night again to help get everyone's accounts even. Even if you're sure your account is all paid, please double check with her that night. Just as a reminder, tuition for May is $20.00 per dancer.

Thanks to all the parents and dancers for making our first year here incredible! I think it will just get better and better with time and I hope you will all be a part of it as we continue. If you have any questions or concerns, Please call Jen at 435-225-2821

Thanks. : )
