WELCOME BACK!! I have missed you all so much! That seemed like a very long break and I am so glad to have you all back to dance with me! I hope you all had wonderful holidays and now let’s get down to business!

Technique Class

Every second Saturday we will be having a special skills class for those dancers who really want to improve their technique. Adrienne Hartvigsen is a classically trained dancer who will be teaching the class with me and we are so fortunate to have her come share her talent. The class will go from 10:00 am to noon. If we happen to have a lot of girls sign up, we will split it into two classes, one for the older girls and one for the younger, but so far, it’s looking like we’ll just need the one class. The class costs $10.00 and is due at the door when your daughter comes, or you can just include it with her monthly tuition. The first technique class will be this Saturday, January 10^th. We will be focusing on proper positioning and angling, across-the-floor exercises, confidence building, terminology, stretches, and muscle strengthening. This class will greatly benefit anyone who attends and I highly recommend it! Plus, it will be fun! J

Picture Day

On Saturday, April 4^th, we have Ivy Adams (smile4ivy.com) coming to take our class pictures! She does a wonderful job and I know you will love her work. She offers many different packages and I will be sending more specific information home as the date gets closer. For now, please just mark this date on your calendar so you’ll be sure not to miss it. Here are the picture times for each specific class:

Tues. 3:00 3-5 year olds: 10:00 am

Thurs. 3:00 3-5 year olds: 10:20 am

Tues. 4:00 5-7 year olds: 10:40 am

Thurs. 4:00 6-8 year olds: 11:00 am

Tues. 5:00 9-11 year olds: 11:20 am

Tues. 6:00 9-11 year olds: 11:40 am

Thurs. 5:00 12-14 year olds: 12:00 pm

Teachers and assts. 12:20 pm

Spring Recital

Mark your calendars for Wednesday, May 13^th and Thursday, May 14^th. This is the dress rehearsal and dance recital!

A new blog!

I started a blog for our studio! It is http://theturningpointe.blogspot.com. I will post all notes there in case you lose some important information, and I will post fun pictures of the girls there as well. If you have any cute pictures, please email them to me at jdh48@hotmail.com, or you can just give me a copy. I will put them on the blog and they may even get used at our end-of-the-year slideshow at the srecital!
